A 2D platformer designed to be much closer in gameplay style to the classic Mega Man series formula. This was made for the second unit of my first year of my Games Development course, in which I had to create a ten-page design document for a game, and then make that game in UE4 whilst ensuring it meets certain criteria and contains certain features (such as a main menu and a win screen). This project served as an opportunity to carry out a basic experiment with approaches to challenge in games, and I managed to employ the dynamic of providing opportunities within the level for the player to take risks for more rewards (i.e: health pickups).
